fastening scotia

I have glued scotia to skirting and floor on three sides of a room without doing research on floor movement. Am i ok to leave this as is and just nail the scotia to the last wall, Alternatively should I lift all the glued scotia I have put down and start again.

"That will be fine to leave it just make sure you nail it"

"The best way to do this is your floor constantly moves with the 5 to 10 mm gap then you put the skirting on top this allows it to still move
The other way is put the flooring up to the skirting with a small gap then the scotia bead around the floor but if you supr glue the scotia with activator spray to the skirting it still allows the floor to move"

"I think you are talking about a floating floor if that is the case leave a gap of 8mm/10mm to the skirting and only glue and pin to the skirting not the floor as you need the not to be connected to each other"

"I’m a perfectionist so I would start again but if u want to just tidy it up and there is movement then use décor chulk to fill the gaps as this is flexible so should solve the problem but again take pride and start again but good effort"

"Personally I would remove and refit leaving 3 to 5mm gap to allow for expansion"

"No it should be fine as long as you have left the recommended min 5mm space between the flooring and the edge of the wall"

"Remove the glue from which the scotia meets the floor to allow the wood to expand. Only glue/nail to skirting."

"Hi Ian. I would really need to see a pic of what’s already done, but I guess a gap as formed somewhere. It really depends on the size of the gap. Is it sealable with caulking then paint over. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Dave."

"As you have discovered already the wall should be the only glued/ nailed side to allow movement.
I would take up and reatatch to the wall only just to be on the safe side"

"It should be ok, if the floor moves you’ll just have to re glue or nail it down again"
