Drainage options for flat roof extension

What sort of drainage systems can you get for flat roofs? We're thinking of a flat-roof extension but I don't know what the best option is to keep it draining well.

"Scuppers are the most effective drainage solution for flat roofs. With this system, large square openings are made along the edge of the roof that shoot the water away from the side of the building."

"You can either install a box gutter to ensure water doesn’t sit on flat roof
Or put a good fall on to dispel water sufficiently"

"Good evening regarding new extension that you are building with the Flat Roof!! The builder that wins the contract with you will know he has to put furring pieces onto the new joists before the roof is played by doing this will allow the water to come off the flat roof into the new gutter if you need any more advice please feel free to contact me. Either extended ones that stick out from the roof so the water does not come in contact with the walls or ones that go into a hopper and then down the down pipe and into a drain."

"It would depend on what pitch and angle the roof is at, but could be easily done by putting gutters on to a fascia into a downpipe then install a drainage system like a soak below the downpipe and connect to the nearest drain."

"Slight tilt to roof area which can take extra water running .Either thator simplyrun to trough gutter at junction of flat roofaa won't main pitched roof. .Personal view is to geta pitched roof if possible on extension. Troughgutter isgood but has to be done right"

"Any professional roofer would put a pitch on the roof and attach guttering.
It’s the most common way but some contractors prefer to use box gutters. Depends how much the contractor wants to earn."

"When the flat roof timbered are fitted , you then have to fit furings which are wedge shaped timbers which go from the wall of the existing house to the rear of the extension. They are wedg shaped and normaly taper from 100mm to nothing. This will be plenty of fall fall the rainwater to run of into the gutter
Kind regards
