Door intercom to increase security

Question

I'm looking for an intercom system for my parents to use, so they can check who's at the door before opening it. Ideally it needs to be easy to install and not use an app. What would you recommend?

System Q do a basic system that takes an SD card to record whos rang the door with an option for an app later if you decide.

I would recommend a Tioc camera system.  Yes it cost as a little more but it is more secure and who is going to climb up a ladder to remove the camera.   There have been a number of homes were the door camera has been removed.
The Tioc camera allows 2 way communication and will also give you and any one you grant access to the system parameter warning and notification on any of your smart devices.

Hikvision video intercom would be good solution as we install them all the time, easy to use and don't need app, can connect more then one monitor to network if needed.

Try a ring door bell connected to mobile phone or camera connected to TV

There is a video doorbell system which has an internal screen to see and speak to whoever is at the door. It can be linked to app on phone if needed but not necessary.

A hard wired audio door entry / video door entry system would be the solution. Its not rocket science but better getting it fitted by a company.

You will need a professional to do this job as you need a hardwired system if you don’t want to use an app, apps mean wirelessly where as you don’t want this so you will need a complex wiring system. No easy way without an app.
