What am I and my partner looking at paying to hire a professional to fully paint the outside of our house? We have a detached house and live in the west midlands. How much paint would we need considering that we live in an average sized detached house? How much might this cost? What do painters charge per hour in my area, generally?

£700 minimum with paint Or £15-£20 hourly rate  ! There to many variables, What’s are your walls like ? Does it needing sanding ? Is it pebble dash ? What colour are you going to ? Or painted the same colour ?

The quotation you are asking for has a very wide scope of price which depends on 1 surface type ie render , pebble dash, painted brick. 2 how many windows and size and porches . 3 what condition ie cracks flaking bare patches . 4 ease of access ie can get ladder or tower all around. So anybody who does quote must see the property it could be anything from £1200.00 up to £5000.00
