How long do house alarms tend to last before they need replacing? I mean the alarm itself, not the batteries, just to clarify. Thanks!
Can you recommend,a WiFi CCTV security camera system with night vision, remote viewing, motion sensors and alerts. Only need 1 or 2 cameras. BUT I don't want a camera that requires any kind of cloud subscription service. I want to be able to access remotely without a subscription and also save both to a local SD card and to my home PC securely over WiFi.
Where would I find home security batteries? Are there any places in particular you’d recommend?
How can I make it less likely that my alarm will be set off too easily by my pets?
How secure are key safes? Are there any known issues with using them?
Would my cat going in and out of her cat flap set off the house alarm? Would it depend on the type of alarm system being installed?
We recently had a brief power cut which triggered our burglar alarm. Is this usual?
What is the difference between a single flap and dual flap pet flap and which one would be more secure?
Can an old wired burglar alarm be updated with better sensors?
Would pet flaps be more secure in of themselves based on the type of doing they are built into? As in, I want to minimize the risk that someone could say cut through a pet flap then use that as a base to pry open the rest of the door. So on the basis of that sort of intruder danger, what sort of doors would be best for having a pet flap installed? Of course, I guess it's a balance since particularly strong doors will be too difficult to cut into to start with for constructing a pet flap? Any help with finding the right balance for this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
