Do cat flaps set off house alarms?

Would my cat going in and out of her cat flap set off the house alarm? Would it depend on the type of alarm system being installed?

"Depends on type of door and contact device that is used or is it a pair and door contact or vibration there are lots of different devices that can or cannot work the engineer should be able to design a system accordingly to pets"

"Morning - No catflaps won't trigger the alarm. A professional alarm uses Passive Infrared to detect intruders. Essentially it’s looking for the infrared signature of a living creature above 45KG with a pet filter."

"It largely depends on what sort of detectors are fitted in the property, recommend detection would be a Dual technology/ microwave device"
