  • What is the best pain for new plaster

Had the walls skimmed and I’ve never painted new plaster before. Do I need a special kind of paint or can I just use normal emulsion?

Whats needed to fix this plastering job

Ive recently had a plasterer in to skim my media wall. Had to get him back as there were a few holes etc and he came back and sorted. Everything looked alright but when it came to painting I realised that all the edges inside the alcoves are essentially squiggly and you can visibly see high spots as well. Is this an easy fix?

How to fix a hole in the ceiling plasterboard

Can a ceiling plasterboard hole be repaired without replacing the board? It’s not massive, but it’s definitely noticeable, and I’d rather avoid cutting big sections out if there’s a cleaner fix that’ll still look decent once painted. Wondering also will this fix be something you can spot after a few months. Someone I told it about at work mentioned that I might have to replace the whole thing to get it looking right?!
