Best filler for covering small holes in wall

I've removed some old rawl plug fixings from the wall and was wondering what's the best filler to use on the holes?

"On plasterboard if they are the standard plugs then pull them out. If they are the proper plasterboard plugs which are different I try pull one, but if it's creating damage and don't come out punch them trough. Seal the hole in plasterboard so filler sticks nicely and fill. On solid walls pull them out"

"Hi,
I’d recommend a mortar free filler like EasiFill. It’s easy to find and is good because I find Polyfilla and similar always shows through the decoration slightly.
There are others available just as good, generally marked for “Jointing and filling”.
EasiFill is available in Toolstation.
Good luck.
