How hard is it to remove pebbledash without damaging the brickwork underneath?
I've seen someone on Instagram smoothing over their Artex with Polyfilla. It looks OK to me. Is there any issue with doing this?
Now plaster has dried out and small amount has fallen off how much should I expect to pay to have the two affected walls replastered please?
Ive recently had a plasterer in to skim my media wall. Had to get him back as there were a few holes etc and he came back and sorted. Everything looked alright but when it came to painting I realised that all the edges inside the alcoves are essentially squiggly and you can visibly see high spots as well. Is this an easy fix?
Hi Wanted my bathroom ceiling skimmed over to have smooth finish Room is 1.70 metres by 2.5m I live in Plymouth Devon Thanks
Having removed wallpaper I found a patch of plaster approx 50cm x 50cm which I assume was a previous repair was lifting away from the wall. It’s hollow behind and a hole in the plaster allows me to see the masonry behind. If I was to remove the plaster seeing as its coming of the wall anyway, can I use a masonry / cement filler to fill and level it off prior to getting a professional to skim the wall? Would I need to waterproof with blackjack or something similar? Thanks J
Hi all, My mums bedroom ceiling has large cracks approx 2-3mm wide and over 30cm long in the middle of the ceiling (near light fitting). The ceiling looks slightly bowed and when pushing near the cracks the ceiling is moving. She has previously tried filling it and crack came back. I was going to try and fill it again with easifill, but with the ceiling slightly moving when pushed I'm concerned it will be a bigger job. Does anyone have any advice please? It's a 1930s ex council house with damp issues in past
There are two long, bulging lines on my ceiling and it's starting to crack the paper. Does this mean the plaster has blown underneath?
