I have a new build house with a little slope, I want to put the garden on 2 levels, bottom will be paved and the top I want to build a retaining sleeper wall with artificial grass on top. The right side of the garden will be fine to put soil up against as it has a brick wall to retain the bottom of the houses next to us but the other side the left hand side has a fence running along the slope. So If I build a retaining wall, all the soil will be up against it. How can I make sure I don't damage the fence? Thanks
Does a stone pebble garden border cause damp issues between it and wall of property ? Do these borders cause more weeds to grow through them ? How easy is it to remove these and relay with either concrete or paving slabs instead ?
Metal sheds? Plastic sheds?? Wooden sheds??? I’ve looked into all of them and can’t decide between. So far all I have come up with is that metal sheds might get hotter inside so to be careful what I keep in there. Other than that what are the pros and cons of each?
Could you let me know what I should expect to pay to have someone remove the grass and weed (plus take away) my twenty six by thirty six foot garden? I have already removed half the grass and two thirds of the weeds but its slow going and need it done as soon as possible.
I’ve put out grass seed so many times and birds keep eating it!!! How do I stop the birds from ruining my efforts??
Hi, I need some help with a shed build. My garden is sloped. The garden is approx 9/10m long and I would estimate the drop off at the rear of the garden to be about 2ft. I was thinking of putting the shed here at the bottom of the garden, would it be suitable, if yes , which type of base would be best suited? Thanks
I want to keep the bins out of sight by building a fence in front of them. What type of wood is best to use? The floor there is concrete and its right by my wooden shed. Will it be possible to use the shed as a support to hold the fence up?
