I would recommend, jet washing first then leave to dry, sand and varnish, as advised in the other comments grip strips are great, also depending on age it may need replacing."

"Hi Julie,
To treat a timber decking for moss, I'd tend to use a pressure washer, then once dried out sand the whole deck, then treat it with a high class treatment such as Owatrol.

If it's a softwood deck, those solutions would probably be more expensive than the deck boards, so I would consider a pressure wash, hard brush with some jeyes fluid then paint with an anti slip decking stain such as Cuprinol"

"There are 2 solutions to this problem. You can use anti slip decking oil for wooden decks, or alternitvly install non slip strips or tape to your wooden or composite deck ."

"Clean and seal it is the best option with hard wearing decking sealant"

"Hi Julie thanks for getting in touch.

We start with applying a moss and algae killer followed with a pressure wash to have everything clean.

After this the best way to prevent a slip would be to apply a non slip decking oil or non slip decking tape.

We can help you with this if it is something you need doing : )
