How do I stop birds from eating grass seed?

I’ve put out grass seed so many times and birds keep eating it!!! How do I stop the birds from ruining my efforts??

Might be bit hard to source right now with the click and collect but its the best method in my view"

"The answer is in the way you've sown it. If its patches I would recommend the old way which is use string and silver trays something like Chinese trays. If you've done it with a machine then they would only get the over spill"

"Theres not a lot you can do about that, to be honest I would suggest keep applying more seed until it starts to take!"

"If you put a few big sticks in the ground and use old CD or DVD etc anything that shines they won’t go near."

"Lay a fine mesh 6" above ground, secure well to stop them getting underneath"

"You can use netting to put over the area you have seeded, plus you can use windmills to scare the birds away because of the noise."
