Does aluminium, guttering fade because of daylight? Does the sun wear it away over time? How about at least the colour and appearance of the gutters?

Sink and toilet not working, drainage issue

Toilet water and sink water coming back up. Drainage issue. I had my home emergency insurance who sent an engineer, he flushed the system from the toilet and sink but it's still not working. Any ideas?

Building bespoke cover for drainage system

I have a bare concrete floor in a ground-floor side extension, and there’s a drainage system in place (likely for moisture/water runoff). The room is the coldest in the house, even with a radiator. I’d like to install laminate flooring, but I want to know the correct way to prepare the floor in this situation. Can insulation be added under the flooring to help with the cold, and if so, what type would be suitable over concrete with potential moisture? Would I need a damp-proof membrane, specific underlay, or a subfloor system? Are there any concerns about moisture affecting laminate in this kind of space? Or would a different type of flooring be more suitable? Please note this is for a wheelchair user and a carpet is unsuitable.
