Can you jet wash roof tiles? Is it safe?

There’s a lot of moss on our roof and someone suggested using a pressure washer. Is that actually safe or will it damage the tiles?

"Hi Duncan, jet washing isn’t generally recommended — the high pressure can damage tiles, strip away protective coatings, and force water underneath. A safer option is manual moss removal or a soft-wash treatment with biocide, which cleans effectively without harming the roof."

"Hi Duncan.
It is usually safe depending on wear and tear of tiles. You can also use a surface cleaner (like a spinning disc) which does arguably a better job and less intrusive.
Always start at the apex of the roof, and work down"

"A lot of tradesmen pressure wash the roof and not realising your taking the protective coating off the tiles. This is because the pressure washing machines are turned up too high or they haven’t got the option to turn them down. I would highly recommend manual scraping."

"I don’t recommend jet washing roofs due to it come brake tiles also caused more damage I recommend using a wire brush and a sweeping brush behind you"
