Best place for a garden shed

What’s the best spot in a garden to have a shed constructed?

"Without seeing the area in person I can only give guidance. Usually the best spot is somewhere out of the way, maybe where you get the least light and things are difficult to grow in, also you have to bear in mind what you are going to be keeping in it and ease of access and weather the spot needs a suitable base constructed to prevent rot in the case of wooden sheds on grass or whether you have existing concrete or slab area to put it on. If you have a look at our website you can contact me directly and we can perhaps organise a visit where I could tell you the best course of action as we construct sheds regularly.

"Usually near the back or side of the garden that way you don’t take up a lot of the garden space and have the opportunity to design/use rest of the garden"

"Hi,

It depends on the layout of your garden really! However the majority of sheds which I’ve installed are in the bottom corner of people’s gardens. It’s really down to personal preference!

Hope this helps.

"The best place for a garden shed is the highest possible location. Ideally close to a building and opposite the face exposed to weather"

"Hi Patrick,

I’d say it’s personal preference really, it also may be down to what type of shed it may be, what it’s going to be used for or even what base it’s going to need. Also take into consideration the most appropriate access leading to your shed.
