Best easy to grow 3 metre hedges

What hedges are best if you want something that grows easily and reaches about three metres in height? Or do hedges just keep growing in general?

"Either laurel or leylandi grow the quickest at about 1m per year but yes most hedges will grow tall enough if tended to correctly"

"Hi Angie I think one of the best hedges to get to 3m high is Laurel. If it gets too big it can be cut back to any required width or height unlike conifers where you have to leave some green leaves. Laurel is quite hardy and can be brought in pots 2 to 3m high.
All healthy shrubs will just keep getting bigger including hedges.

"For a 3-metre (approx. 10ft) high, easy-to-grow hedge, the best options focus on fast-growing, hardy plants that are relatively low-maintenance once established.
Here are the top recommendations for a 3-metre hedge based on ease of growth and screening ability:
1. Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) - Best Overall for Privacy
Growth Rate: Fast (40–60cm per year).
Why it's Easy: Tolerates most soil types, including heavy clay, and thrives in both full sun and shade.
Appearance: Dense, evergreen with large, glossy, dark green leaves.
Best For: Fast, dense, year-round privacy screens.

2. Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium) - Best for Formal/Tight Spaces
Growth Rate: Fast (40–60cm+ per year).
Why it's Easy: Hardy, reliable, and tolerates pollution and poor soil.
Appearance: Dense and semi-evergreen (keeps leaves in mild winters).
Best For: Narrow, formally trimmed hedges. Golden Privet is a bright alternative.

3. Leylandii (Cupressocyparis leylandii) - Fastest Grower
Growth Rate: Very Fast (90cm+ per year).
Why it's Easy: Undisputed king of rapid growth and screening, providing an instant-like effect.
Appearance: Tall, dense, evergreen with feathery foliage.
Best For: Quick, high screening.
Note: Requires regular clipping 2-3 times per year to prevent overgrowth.

"They just generally grow naturally if am right, don’t know if you could purchase a specific plant already at that height maybe check local garden centres"
