How much locksmiths charge per hour and each day in London? Does it vary depending on whether you live in the city, on the edge of the city or in the suburban areas of the general London area? Or on the other hand, are the prices practically the same?
How much would it cost to have someone perform a survey prior to having new upvc windows installed in my home?
Hello! I have had my house plastered and I think some of the work is not great. Before I chat to them would love some feedback. 1) chunks of plaster have dried on my window frames and won’t come off. 2) there are ripples on the wall. Not everywhere but in places. If I run my hand over it’s not smooth in some places 3) there are many hairline cracks (maybe some a tiny bit deeper). I think this might be normal and given it’s an old house? 4) should they have plastered to the floor? They didn’t take some skirting boards off (even though I asked) and now we have taken them off. They have only gone to the edge of the current board not the floor. 5) they got plaster and blue grit all over my light switches 6) they have left little bits unplastered (e.g, where an old socket was). I’m concerned as they are going to do my bathroom plastering and have already half fitted my tiles and suite and I’m worried it’ll get covered in plaster.
Why is my second coat of emulsion bubbling but only in certain sections of the wall ?
I am having some paving laid for a pergola. The paving on one side has a raised flower bed - the back is a garage wall and other side is grass. The builder suggests leaving a gap between the paving and the raised bed and walk around 6 inches and to fill with decorative stone - is this better than butting up against everything like the rest of the paving around the house?
Do you seal grout in the shower after it has had new grout done ?
My neighbour wants me to sign party wall agreement for him to demolish his part of our connected pitched roof connected to ours on our kitchen for him to extend his kitchen within permitted development, the whole thing is connected, he claims no planning permission needed, I am terrified, he will damage my property, it's terrace houses and no one in the whole terrace done such development, how can I stop this?
What paint is best for painting the inside of a garage? Would anything need doing with the walls before painting them? It’s just a normal concrete block garage.
As per title: Do I need to use moisture resistant plasterboard on ceiling when wet plastering on top in bathroom? Vaulted ceiling has Insulation backed plasterboard that is not moisture resistant. It's all going to be skimmed in the near future. If it's going to be skimmed over, do I need to get someone to overboard it in green plasterboard before it's skimmed or not? Thanks guys!
