Ask your QuestionMy bathroom has walls with artex. Can I plasterboard over the artex walls and then apply wall paper/plaster or even paint?
Asked by Huios on 19th Jun 2020"Hi,
Take off any sharp edges of the artexed walls using a scraper. It is possible to "dot and dab" the plaster boards and fix to wall areas. Once dry boards can be decorated. Hope this is of some help."
"you can put drywall but it is better to stick, because artex may contain asbestos and it is not a good idea to be on a structure because of the inevitable drilling when gripping"
