What are the best garden sheds to buy?

Metal sheds? Plastic sheds?? Wooden sheds??? I’ve looked into all of them and can’t decide between. So far all I have come up with is that metal sheds might get hotter inside so to be careful what I keep in there. Other than that what are the pros and cons of each?

Is it best to wait a few weeks and then get both jobs done together or to do them separately as finances dictate?

I need to get a new immersion heater fitted and also to have a new bath and sink to install. So clearly the immersion heater is our priority but the others need doing but is it worth doing each as my finances dictate or would it be best to wait longer and have them fitted together?

Plug socket off but appliances still running

I just moved into a flat and noticed that 2 of the wall sockets remain live even when they are switched off. E.g TV is switched off but the light remains on. The two wall sockets in question are in different rooms, I haven't tested all the other sockets in the flat yet but wanted to know what could cause this?

    New extension concerns

Hi, I live in a semi-detached house. My new neighbour is building a single story extension to the front side and back and a planning application was approved for the extension. No application was made for the back toom extension as it is within 3m. They built the foundation exactly in line with boundary line that we agreed on. Foundation is about 50cm wide. Now, they have started building a wall and built it up to the DPC, back filled soil around the wall but dont think it was inspected since the foundation was dug. The new wall is built right on the edge of the foundation and exactly in line with the boundary line leaving no space whatsoever between the wall and boundary line. Is my new neighbour allowed to build the wall so close to the boundary line and on the edge of the foundation, and how will this impact the roof on the new extension as i have told them that roof should not overlap the boundary line into myside? Your advise would be appreciated. Kind regards Ref

Freestanding oven does it need a cooker point?

I bought a replacement oven recently after mine gave in. My last one was built into a special cooker point which has been disconnected and the new one came with just a regular plug. Should this be plugged into a separate socket like my old one of can i just use a regular 3 pin plug socket? I'm just wondering if there's any regulations i should be worried about. Thanks in advance.

    Moving Internal Walls

I wonder if you can help me. We're looking to buy a house, where I can see an improvement could be made, dividing a bedroom. but would need to create the access to the 2nd bedroom by recreating the landing. There seems to be the space to do this by moving walls of a 3rd bedroom. I'm just wondering how easy this all is. Looks like its move 4 internal walls, 3 new doorways, but are there watch outs in terms of lighting, carpets. If one wall is load bearing (not sure if it is) is that simple to get around or an issue etc, just really looking for advice on complexity and cost ? Thank you
