    Plastering over artex

I had hall and landing artex skimmed October/November had the ceilings painted the plaster came away leaving the artex. It's now been skimmed again thus time over blue grit. I've now have two horizontal hairline cracks one going down into the wall about 12 inches either side. I felt at the ceiling it doesn't feel loose in anyway. Is this normal shrinkage any advice would be appreciated.

    Move living room door

Can anyone give advice? The lounge door is currently in a really awkward place. It would make much more sense to be further along the same wall (2 metres over) so we can fit a corner sofa in the spot opposite the tv. We would want the old door patched up as well. What sort of cost would we have to pay?

fitting nylon or triexta carpets in a 15 square metre room

I am debating whether to have nylon or triexta carpets fitted at my home. I’d like to know what your thoughts are on both types? It is the aesthetics that I am primarily interested in. However, additional information would be helpful for making my decision. For one, how much would it cost to have both types fitted in a 15 square metre room? What are the pros and cons of each type? Such as when it comes to durability and how easily they are cleaned/maintained
