Hello I would like to know how much it costs to replace an outside pipe that connect to inside under my kitchen sink - it’s split in the middle and there is a gap. Water is now getting in from outside to under my sink. There is mould and crumbling plaster where the pipe is under my sink and crumbling plaster in the corner of my kitchen . Thank you
What do electricians usually charge per hour in Belfast? Do electrician charges vary much across Northern Ireland in general or are they about the same?
A house I'm looking at buying looks like it needs the bricks replacing around the base of the patio door, not sure if it is poor fitting or frost damage, awaiting the results of the building survey. The patio door could probably do with replacing too. Could you take the patio door out and replace a couple of lines of bricks (probably about ten feet across the wall) prior to installing a new door? Would you have to wait for these to cure/mortar to dry prior to fitting a new door?
Hi, I am in the process of buying a house (built around 1990). I had a level 2 survey and surveyor has said that he "cannot confirm whether a damp-proof course is present because of the mortar pointing obscuring the construction. The ground levels to the rear of the property are high and risk bridging any damp proof course that exists. There were no signs of damp within the property suggesting any issues. However, it may be prudent to reduce the external ground levels to the rear or insert a gully where the external wall meets the ground. The recommended height for the external ground level beneath the damp proof course is 150 mm". I have noticed myself that the bottom of back door is actually level with the patio and so there is no threshold as such. I have no idea if this is a big and/or expensive job. I wondered whether anyone had any advice roughly how much this would cost (e.g., would it be in the 100's or 1000's)? Thanks Jody
Can I replace my wooden window with another wooden window to save on costs
Hi, Would you recommend / advise on the pro's and con's of removing current cladding and replacing it with corrugated steel (similar) sheets. Would this require additional frame inserts to hold the sheets in place - I am looking for a modernization of my current summerhouse/shed combo.
