Recently I have purchased a new plaster ceiling rose (approx. 90cm in diameter) and I will be having a room re-plastered and decorated in the coming weeks. The decorator I have hired has not had much experience with installing ceiling roses and certainly not one as large/heavy as this one. If anyone has any experience with this, could they please recommend the best options to install it safely and successfully. Many Thanks, P

Hello all I have a hollow bedroom door currently, which I would like to add a lock to. Is this possible to install, or would I need to replace the door for this? Is there any adjustments I could make to a hollow door to enable a new lock to be fitted?

I have a light in my garden which features a motion sensor to activate it. However, recently, it will turn on and stay on the rest of the night inexplicably. Does this sound like a problem with the settings that can be tweaked or that something in the light has broken? Ideally I would like to be able to change the setup to make it turn off after a time like previously did.

Hello I am moving home soon and will be brining my electric cooker to the new house. Do I need a qualified electrician to disconnect in my old house and reconnect the cooker in the new house, or would I be able to do this myself?

Which adhesive for slate tiles will cement work?? I’ve had some tiling work on some floors done recently but found some of the tiles don’t stick down at all – I can lift them straight up! It is a concrete floor underneath and the tiles still need to be grouted. Is this normal to not be grouted yet? Should it be concrete or some kind of tile adhesive?
