Is it essential that I use moisture resistant plasterboard in a bathroom? I understand there are a few other options such as aquapanel, or is that just a brand name?
Could you explain to me what differentiates an angle-cut paint brush from a square-cut brush? Which is better and why? In what scenarios should either option be used? Are there many jobs where both types of brush should be used? Thanks!
Hi. I’m considering having new windows fitted in an old Georgian property. I am curious as to whether there is such a thing as quadrupled glazed windows, and if so, do they offer major advantages over double and triple glazed windows, and, overall, are they worth it?
I had some protection boards put up to protect my neighbours property. I was charged for the boards as materials which is as expected but should then the boards be left with me to keep. After all, if they took them back and used them for other jobs it would be like we were buying them their work equipment. Just a bit confused so any input would help thanks
What is a butterfly roof and when is it generally used?
We're about to start putting our back home together after a minor flood and I was wondering if there are plaster treatments that deal with water/excess moisture better than normal plaster?
Would a stone resin shower tray be too heavy to fit in a mobile home?
How long does it take carpet fitters to recarpet a whole house? So, five rooms plus the stairs and landing? Is it more than one day?
I have a problem that no one can seem to solve. On the left hand side of the window sil on the plaster a semi moon shape appears when it rains alot like a tide mark. It damages the paint. I've had a new window put in as someone said it was the window and the I had the roof re-felted back to the first rafter and boards put into the guttering but it still comes back. I'm at a loss the whole room was reskimmed. I've been out of the roof and used silicone to fill any visible holes. The last thing I can think of is the pointing but it seems OK to look at. I've had a roofer, a window person, a builder and yet it still comes back. Help ????
