What are the pros and cons of a semi-gloss paint and where might you use it?
Hi I want to replace a hob and put a free standing range cooker there but the quartz top needs cutting each side of the hob to allow the cooker to fit. I’ve had 3 trades men say oh sorry I can’t cut the quartz? I am trying without any luck to find why this is such a problem? Any advice greatly appreciated xxx
What are the main issues that can occur with a wood floor? How can I preserve it well over time? Thanks!
I have a hardboard floor in my kitchen and living room which have cork tiles fitted to them. I’m told they were glued down. Is there any specific method to lift off these tiles and remove them? We don’t want to leave the layers beneath damaged or with any major glue residue of we can help it.
I'd like a cost per square metre rate for the installation of OSB board subfloor and also skirting for a job in London. The floor area is 50m2.

Am preparing to tile my house with a sand, Cement and Lime mortar! Is that safe?
Hello We have had a combi installed which has replaced our old conventional boiler. We have however had lots of problems with the new boiler. There are strange noises coming from the boiler & also problems with the water pressure. If I put taps on it causes the bath hot tap to come on. The stream of water coming out of the kitchen hot tap was so fierce we could not turn the tap off so are no longer using the hot tap in the kitcen. The engineer insists it is just because we have old taps and is going to replace the taps. The main issue is that he did the boiler installation in a day with a colleague. I am worried about whether they took any shortcuts but don't know enough about this. Please advise as to whether you think this is just to do with the taps or whether it could be a problem with the boiler installation. Everything worked OK with the old boiler.
