How do wood composite garage doors differ from solid wood garage doors?

Timber will rot eventually, therefore, requires minimum treating every two years.
Composite has the colour you choose in its mass. Some colours will fade slightly over time.
Most manufacturers of composite, offer twenty to thirty years warrantee on their product

"Solid wood would be my preference.
Composite however is basically maintenance free but looks fake."
