Who should I call to deal with condensation in my loft?

Who to call for condensation in attic? Is it a roofer, builder, damp proofer?

"Your lift space needs to be vented
It should feel cold and drafty when you open the loft hatch
Fit either tile vent tiles or a vented soffit"

"Hi Kamil,

It will depend on what is causing the condensation. If it is a lack of ventilation, a roofer should install tile vents. In the past, I have seen issues with ducting for extractor fans that fill the loft with humid air, causing problems with condensation.

You are probably better off arranging a survey first to determine the cause, and then you will be able to appoint a contractor after."

"Hey, depends on the situation. If it’s a new build, get the builder back in. If not, then a roofer would be your best bet.

I have however had it where a new build developer had failed to vent the toilet stack. It was open ended in the loft and caused a great deal of mould, condensation and foul smells. Best solution for that is a durgo valve, as that remedies the problem with the least disturbance."

"Not sure where the condensation is in your loft so not definite answer here but would recommend getting the roof looked at just to make sure it’s not leaking in"
