"Traditionally decorators used a natural bristle brush for gloss paints however, synthetic brushes are just as effective and more cheaper today."

"Synthetic are always good, personally cutting in skirt in and frames I would recommend a ‘sash’ brush the shape makes it 10 times easier, brewers do a set of 3 for around 6/7 pound great brushes"

"Depending on the area you wish to gloss, maybe a radiator roller would be a better finish, you will get a more even finish providing you roll excess paint from roller onto your roller tray"

"Hi.
We use Purdys, Picasso Original Oval and Arroworthy Classic."

"I prefer synthetic brushes especially if your cutting in the tops of skirtings and the sides of frames etc to get a nice clean line, purdys are the go to but you can get cheaper alternatives from shops like toolstation, also you will probably throw the brush away after, they do Axus blue synthetic brushes from there, usually a 1.5 inch brush is the best for frames..get yourself a 1.5 inch brush and a 2 inch brush and you can't go wrong"
