What would an electrician charge to fit a ceiling fan?

We want one in the bedroom for summer (replacing the existing light fitting). Quick job or more involved than it looks?

Depends on multiple things, for example if wiring is ok and it’s just a straight swap then an electrician can charge between £40-£80 depending on the fan. Plus you need to add the cost of the fan if the customer isn’t supplying one

It really depends on the fitting. If it is a straightforward replacement, it will cost around £100. However, an accurate quote depends on the size and weight of the fan, and what the ceiling can support. For example, the electrician may have to open the ceiling to add noggins for extra support.
