    Whole House Electrical Safety Certificate

Franck or Fateh, not sure which name this man goes by, is a very complicated person to deal with. Firstly, we had agreed on a price for the job, but in the end, he wasn't happy about it, so he tried to overcharge me for materials that weren't needed and took the old electric board out of the property without asking, leaving behind the plastic frame. Second, he was consistently late, and the timeframe for completing the job was entirely unsatisfactory.

    Repair Tripping Kitchen Circuit Fuse

HELP PLEASE I am leaving this review because I need urgent contact from whoever manages this profile. I booked an electrician through this profile for a kitchen circuit that was tripping at my rental property. During the visit, the existing 32A kitchen ring circuit was altered to a 20A circuit without my agreement. This has left the kitchen with very limited capacity, and I now need to arrange another electrician to correct the work and make the installation safe and usable for my tenants. I have raised a formal complaint with MyJobQuote because I believe the work was not agreed and has made the situation worse. I offered to pay for the call-out, but I dispute the remaining amount due to the unauthorised alteration and the cost of putting it right. Since I raised the dispute, the person who carried out the work has repeatedly called and sent WhatsApp messages. I find the messages threatening and intimidating, including statements such as “you will regret it forever” and “it is going to be 100 worse”.

Hi Miguel, I trust you are well. Thank you very much for your review.Following your job post on My Job Quote I decided to send the best of my team. He is an NICEIC Approved Contractor, a Qualified Supervisor, and specializes in fault finding. Our technician investigated and repaired the fault at your flat at 84 Woodside Gardens, N17 6UW.Upon investigation, he discovered the electrical installation is over 50 years old. Furthermore, the 32amp Ring Circuit consisted of two legs, and leg number two was damaged due to a live wire touching the neutral. Our technician capped off the damaged leg and converted the circuit from a 32amp Ring to a 20amp Radial, ensuring everything on leg number one works perfectly. While we understand the tenant was without kitchen power for three weeks prior to our visit, we take pride in doing high-quality work in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations. Please note that if you have issues with payment in the future, we are happy to arrange a payment plan. Additionally, if you would like us to install a new leg and restore the 32amp circuit, please let us know .Have a great day,

    Electrical Installation Condition Report Needed

First of all the electrician is not Franck. He came more than 3 hours late. Hespent 20 minutes at the property for an EICR. He then told me I needed to change to a metal fuse box, which was easily dispelled by a quick google search. Then he said I needed another RCD. Again easily dispelled.

Good morning Andrew, I trust you are well. I understand your frustration regarding the costs required to update your property. The previous EICR noted several remedial items that were not completed, and that report was issued for a 3-year period based on you living there as an owner-occupier, not as a rental property. As a professional electrician, I do not make up regulations; I strictly follow the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition, Amendment 4).When I visited your property, I asked for the purpose of the report, and you confirmed you were the owner living there. The requirements for an owner-occupier are different from those for a rental property. After you called to question why I recorded it as an owner-occupied flat, I reminded you of our initial conversation where you stated you were living there. Consequently, I issued the new EICR for a 2-year period.
