What is a typical hourly rate for carpenters?

    Carpenters

    Hi,
I have several projects that I require carpenter(s) to be hired for, but I am wary about the cost this might be.
Does anyone have any reasonable estimates for the hourly cost of a carpenter?

    "Hello
These days, a typical hourly rate would be around £20-£25 per hour. However, this may depend on where you live, the affluency of your area and the level of competition between local carpenters in your area.
For example, if you live in London, you can expect a higher charge, while in a more rural and less affluent area the cost may be lower, on average.
Do remember that, to some degree, you get what you pay for in regard to the quality of work. In some cases, it may be cheaper to pay a little more than for the work to be done shoddily and require the work to be redone or fixed afterwards. "

"An average rate for a carpenter would be between £15 and £20 per hour. However most prefer to accept a fixed price for a job.

"Most carpenters work on a day rate ranging from £150/£180 per day

Other ways will include a price per job. which is a fixed fee for the task in hand.

On average I would say a carpenter would request a sum of around £25.00per hour."
