Ask your QuestionHi,
I have several projects that I require carpenter(s) to be hired for, but I am wary about the cost this might be.
Does anyone have any reasonable estimates for the hourly cost of a carpenter?

Answered on 10th Apr 2019 - Member since Jan 2019 - report"Hello
These days, a typical hourly rate would be around £20-£25 per hour. However, this may depend on where you live, the affluency of your area and the level of competition between local carpenters in your area.
For example, if you live in London, you can expect a higher charge, while in a more rural and less affluent area the cost may be lower, on average.
Do remember that, to some degree, you get what you pay for in regard to the quality of work. In some cases, it may be cheaper to pay a little more than for the work to be done shoddily and require the work to be redone or fixed afterwards. "
"Hiya,
A decent carpenter costs between £18-£22 per hour or a daily rate of about £150 - £180.
It depends what you need doing. If you speak to some carpenters they may be able to sort out a daily rate or an overall cost of the jobs rather than the hourly rates.
I hope this helps."
"I would say that the average, outside London, is £25.00/hr."
