Tough coat plaster

What exactly is tough coat plaster? Is it significantly more durable than other types of plaster? If so, how long does plaster usually last and how long would tough coat plaster last?

"Tough coat plaster is normally used like a bonding, it’s very hard, and dries quick, depending on the type of surface you apply it to"
