Strength of double Mansard loft conversions

Are double Mansard loft conversions structurally strong? And are they durable or high maintenance?

"These types of loft conversations are structurally sound and strong in constructive methods and do stand up to the test of time if they are constructed correctly using large size structural timbers with normal spacing centres it would be advised to have a structural engineer design and calculation report or if you have experience in these types of construction you would have good knowledge of construction
as to the maintenance it would a very low maintenance as this type of loft forms part of the structure of the building and roof structure normally covered with roof tiles and lead so it’s life span would be very high and low maintenance"

"They are fine just make sure you use an engineer for the design, they give a great usable
Space obviously plannjng will need to be obtained"

"Far as I’m aware they are as strong as normal loft conversions as long as they are constructed correctly and same maintenance"

"Any loft conversion done to building regulations this day and age will be strong and durable as long as installed by a proper tradesmen that knows what they are doing hope this helps you"
