sandtoft rivius antique clay tile

has anyone used these fake slate clay tiles ? are they recommended ? approx cost for 1930's 3 bed hip roof semi plus area over bay/front door , 70-75 m2. , replacing welsh slate.....obviously new membrane / batons / ridges reqd.

"I stay away from sandtoft, get alot of breakages, surprising you can use them to replace Welsh slates.
If you've got permission to change from Welsh slates to anything you choose then go for a marley thrutone to still get the slate effect"
