Is it possible to recess the bottom and top of a sliding patio door frame to hide it and create a seamless indoor/outdoor space?

"Anything is possible but bear in mind if your slider is internal and you ever need change wheels or anything IT WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS as door lifts up and then out at bottom of you recess them you may not be able to do so"

"Not really…
The Patio Doors when bought you should have told the Surveyor and the Company…
If you had to do something now….
It could be a lot of hassle and cost…to do what your want….
If your Patio is in good shape and condition
You could sell it….
Then get new ones the way you want
New Patios will also be more energy efficient if your existing patios are Old"

"Unfortunately not as the sliding door only has 25-30mm of slab over hinging the frame. Only thing you can do is trim down to glass line then glue trim off that trim back to the doors. Thanks"

"There are ways to do this sort of thing however generally only on a newly built opening. It is very difficult to achieve the desired result on an existing aperture."

"you may need to remove old door and remove some brickwork to lower the frame at the bottom , then re plaster the head .
if you are having a new door installed just let the surveyor know your wishes .
A good surveyor would be able to ensure the finish you would like .

hope this helps Paul

"Yes anything is possible but in this case they would have to be built in before one side of structure completed"

"Yes you can but it depends on the recess you have at the moment if it is a new build then you can make the opening to suite"
