How much does uPVC door repair cost?

Our back door has dropped and no longer locks unless you lift the handle with some force. Can the hinges be adjusted and what would a repair like this cost?

Yes UPVC doors tend to drop over time but most hinges will be adjustable.

Should be a straightforward 1 hour repair and cost £60-80

Your looking at about £20 to £30 to ajust door it will need to be toe and healed taking glass out to correct

If this has been recently fitted, the fitter should come back free of charge to do a quick adjust.

If it’s been in a while and a quick adjust is all that is needed it may be just a call out fee and it really should take long.

To overhaul door and locking system and maybe adjust hinges cost about £75.00

I’d typically price it around £70–£100 for a straightforward call-out.
That could cover adjusting the hinges/door alignment, adjusting the keeps, checking the multipoint locking mechanism, lubricating it and making sure the door locks smoothly. If replacement parts are needed, charge those on top.
For a simple adjustment, £80 all-in would be a reasonable customer price.
