Are composite windows much more expensive than uPVC?

We're replacing the windows across the front of the house and like the look of composite. Roughly how much more do they cost than uPVC? Worth the premium?

"if a comparable UPVC window costs £600 fitted, a composite equivalent might be around £750–£900+."
