There are many factors;

For instance, oil based paint is harder to work with even when it had been thinned whereas latex based paints are a lot easier to work with. The smell of oil based paints is a lot stronger than that of latex based and lastly I’d probably say the drying times. Oil based can take days or maybe even weeks to be completely dry whereas latex based paints can dry a lot quicker.

They keep good looking for a longer time, however after that they yellowing whats look really bad

Oil-based paint is not good with the odours and use of white spirit for cleaning brushes rollers etc. latex paint is far more better for the enviroment plus easy clean with water.
