"I would recommend not to get your roof power washed so yes 3000 is to much you can have new felt and batten and the tiles cleaned and put back on for that money"

"Yes it Is depending on access. You cannot coat any part of a roof without cleaning it extremely well and spraying with a antifungal wash first.

"For that size roof, our company price would be just less than half of that. For that you get the roof thoroughly cleaned, treated with biocide & then coated with Properla Water Repellent (this is the correct way to do it). As we are approved applicators of Properla products, you will get a 10 Year warranty certificate as well.

"Yes it's excessive!!! Pointing was and is a maintenance that is tedious but carried out long before power washing was introduced......I'm querying how is power washing beneficial??
Roof coating has a specified m2 coverage per drum of chosen solution and should be added to a labour cost of preparing the surface (maybe priming) depending on the roof material ."

"Yes you should not power wash your roof anyway it strips the protective layer and shortens life span.
The roof should only be cleaned with brush and scraping tool.
Hope this helps
kind regards
Chris"

"Hi, I would recommend you do not get your roof power washed as the pressure washer may cause water to travel back up the tiles and into your roof causing water damage. If there is no ventilation it leaves nowhere for the water to evaporate causing further damage to the structure of your roof. Power washing is also known to affect the protective coating on the tiles. You could spend only a little more money and you could have a completely brand new roof without lasting damage to your property."

"In regards to just cleaning and re-pointing ridge caps it would be unfairly to charge £3000 more in the lines of £1800 £2400 With Scafolding applied to a property that’s what makes prices vary"
