Pent garage roof

Hi, I'm considering having a new garage installed on my property. I'd like to know, what is a pent garage roof?

""Hi Caroline, a Pent roof garage is where the roof slopes only in one direction most commonly towards the rear. Just imagine where you would like the guttering to be placed, at the back (Pent roof) or either side (Apex).""

"Hi Caroline. A pent roof has one sloping side only. The front of the building is most commonly the side with the highest point of the pent roof and it then descends to the back.
Pent roofs are considered one of the most energy-efficient options for garages.
Single-slope roofs are proving trendier with more modern homes opting for a pent roof rather than an apex garage roof.
If you’re limited on space, flat roof garages can be created into an additional outdoor living space, with many people adding grass, soil and plants for a garden area – which is perfect if you live in an urban area
Pent roofs can now be sealed to avoid leaks – which is what they are notoriously known for creating"

"Hello

Pent is a roof with one pitch - so if you imagine a wall and off the wall a roof sloping on to a supporting structure with gutting on often sheds have pent roofs

"A pent roof is the same a lean to roof so higher at one side great for rain fall drainage but I'd say less space inside"
