Ask your QuestionMy existing Garage flat roof is puddles after rain. Do I need a new roof with proper drainage, or just a repair job ?.

"If you have puddles on your roof that means your boards are dipped in the middle and not allowing it to flow off the roof into the gutters there are two ways around this first being change at the new roof with proper degreed full for the rain to run into the gutters and the second option is you could build up up the area with new torch-on felt at the back of the roof and then that would push the water towards the front into the gutter but that is only if the boards are ok ok and not soft in these situations it's more beneficial to the homeowner to have a new roof with a good recommended company with at least years guarantee"

Answered on 7th Jun 2022 - Member since Oct 2021 - report"If your roof Is suffering from puddles this would indicate the boards beneath the roof coating to have been water damaged and there strength being compromised over long term water ingress, the correct way to deal with this is to strip back to the existing roofing support joists, re board with new treated timber sheeting giving you a solid, smooth foundation to work with, then to complete with a roof coverage of your choice."
