Judging Hip Ridges Health Status

Your question is awaiting moderation by the MyJobQuote team.

hello ,

I think two my hip/ridge tiles has perished and need replacing. They have cracked half inch down or so. It is solidly embedded it seems.

But others hip/ridge tiles, the top layer is only weathered and flaky but underlying ridge/hip is solidly embedded and loose.

I'm planning to put a new roof in few years time and hence my question was which hip/ridges should be replaced now and which ones I can defer if at all I can defer. How do you decide which ones to alter as disturbing ridge/hip will break corner cemented underlying tiles.

I have scaffolding in place.

Guys are coming are giving various contradictary advise.

Also How do I select a competent roofer over cow boys - as every one claims they can do the work. Many Thanks in Advance.
