Is it OK to paint over a marble fireplace?

I’m thinking of changing the look of my marble fireplace. Can it be painted safely without damaging the surface so I can remove it in the future if I change my mind?

Hi if u use a bin zinzer 1st as a sealer that works

You can paint it if you properly prepare the surface first using a product like Zinsser bin however you would struggle to get it back to the original marble in the future.

Obviously with all the steps, degreasing, undercoating and final coat

Its not the best idea. Any paint can.be removed but at what labour? But yes, you can paint over it with the right primers. I strongly suggest you don't.

Yes, but need to be sanded with a fine sander to be ok for paint to catching the surface and absorbing.

Yes is possible just need special primer first then need 2 coat of the top of that primer.

you can painted over only with proper primer undercoat prior top finish paint 

but will be impossible to remove

Yes its possible but it need a special paint so in order to remove it in the future it should not be any other ordinary paint

No I wouldn't  advise that as it could be impossible to  remove successfuly should you change your mind.
