"Depends on where it has to go, normally first to a suitably placed interior stop cock, then this will connect to the house plumbing"

"If nothing is currently in place you will need to dig a trench from the entry point in your house to the location of the external stopcock. At an appropriate depth to meet requirements. You will then need to run a blue water pipe of appropriate diameter from the external stopcock to your internal stopcock. Protect the water pipe if there is a risk of impact. (garden fork etc)."

"You could either trench out or get a new supply pipe moled in, which means less excavations and pits dug to receive the mole to pull a new blue pill pipe through.
If there are other services I would trace them out to ensure that you don't damage, hit them.
Just make sure supply is moled or trenched to regulations depth."
