How much does an electric shower cost to install?
Our old mixer shower's packed in and we're thinking of going electric this time. What's a fair price for the shower itself plus fitting?

Would depend on the electric shower unit you wanted, where the electrical feed needs to run as an electric shower must be on its own RCD circuit along with many other factors.
A very rough estimate would be around £600 - £700 in parts and labor, plus the cost of the shower. You will need either a multi-trade or 2 trades people (electrician and plumber) as wires will have to be chased back to the main board and an RCD installed and pipework altered. It's not a simple job i'm afraid"

"About 120-150 Yorkshire way on that would be to install a new cold feed to it as long as there is nothing like tiles to take off etc"

"to be honest it depends what shower you want a budget shower costs around the 140 to 160 mark and lasts around 5 to 7 years, the higher you go in budget will push the years up by a couple i brought my parents a mira sport shower and fitted it these cost 350 pounds labour of installation of a shower is usually around the 80 to 120 mark.
