Ask your QuestionWe have just bought our first family home but the staircase is open on one side. Obviously this is unsafe so I want some sort of handrail/banister. How much will it cost to add a banister or handrail to the open ended staircase? Its 12 steps to the top. I'm not too fussed about the material, just need to know roughtly how much it would cost? How much would glass stair balustrade panels cost?

looking at labour and materials £700.00 - £1000.00"
"You would be looking at around 400-600 inclusive of materials and labour to install staircase banisters."

I would average your budget to 250"
