"It would need a 6 or 10mm cable depending on the cooker cable is about as thick as a large middle finger , this needs to run to your fuse box , so think how would it run hiding it as much as possible Price is depending on cable length etc if your fuse box is not been fitted in the last year adding a new cooker circuit may mean a new consumer unit would be required cost for this is about £650 - £1200 again depending on a few things . A cooker install only would be about £350 -£500"

"Everything depend from your building plan . Cables need to be run from Fuseboard up to cooker - so cost of cables , additional fuse, plastic trunking , and installation can be vary between £200 up to £600"

"Most of the house already have a cooker junction box installed in the kitchen with wiring from the consumer units. If your house has wiring and socket pre installed then you don't need to any extra work done just need the cooker to be connected to the switch.
If there is no wiring then you have to get the wiring installed first."

"Yes its quite a big job but willingness to decorate and repair and fuseboard distance can change the length of time to complete the works."

"Hi basically you need to run a new 10mm cable from your DB to your cooker point sw,infact a new breaker with the right Amp . cuz if it was a gas befor that means you don’t have cooker power so that’s main thing about the cost I prefer to see the place and way of running the cable and distance things like that ,so you get the right quote."
