"How thick is the crack, if it is 2mn or thicker, it needs more investigation, otherwise it could be poor preparation with scrim tape and easy to fill"

"Not that bad, could be just a bit of movement or the plasterer missed a joint on the plasterboard with tape.can try to fill it with easyfill and sand it back or pay to have it reskimmed."

"Is the cracking along a joint ? Sounds as tho the area wasn't prepared properly or the plaster done correctly. It shouldn't be a massive head ache to put right"

"Yes that's not good plasterer maybe got away with doing one coat or he's missed a spot to put mesh on or alternatively, you could of had previous problems which didn't get dealt with and plasterer just went over it. Hope this helps"

"Dose not have to be bad !
It could of appeared after settlement of the build as that can go on for up to 2 years ,
If it’s faulty plastering then getting a second opinion from the main contractor? It should still be under some kind of guarantee. Even if it’s not, the contractor should be professionally eager to assist you ."

"it could just be a shrinkage crack which can be easily repaired , if it the roof has been built with any flex in it then it may require a lot more work"
