How to remove UPVC Porch

How to remove UPVC porch which has been added after bay window was installed.

Previous owner had all new double glazed windows and doors and also added a small porch. What tradesperson would I need to remove this, or could I remove this on my own?

"Depending on what is supporting the porch?
If the porch is self supporting, ie with gallows brackets, the doors or windows can be removed. It doesn’t detail if the bay windows are actually part of the porch or not. I would need to check what is supporting the porch before i could give a answer to this question"

"You would need a window fitter, or carpenter, but a carpenter would be more expensive, so someone who specialises in pvc windows and doors hope this helps. Oh and fyi I'm that person 😉"

"If you are a proficient diy man you might be able to remove it, but generally you would need to engage a window conservatory team to do the work"

"✅ Step-by-Step Process:

1. Assess the Structure
• Inspect how the porch is attached to the house and around the bay window.
• Look for screw fixings, silicone seals, or bonding to the brickwork or window frame.

2. Turn Off Power (if needed)
• If there are lights or sockets in the porch, turn off the power at the breaker before disconnecting anything.

3. Remove External Panels & Roof
• Start with the porch roof or canopy.
• Unscrew and remove uPVC cladding or panels carefully.
• Cut through any silicone sealant with a utility knife to reduce damage.

4. Remove the Frame
• Once cladding is off, remove any visible fixings holding the uPVC frame to the house.
• Use a pry bar or screwdriver to separate the frame from the wall carefully.
• Support any weight-bearing sections to avoid sudden collapse.

5. Check the Bay Window
• After porch removal, inspect the bay window for any damage or gaps caused by porch addition.
• Re-seal or make good any exposed areas, especially where silicone or trims were removed."
