How much space is needed to make my stairs wider?

How much space is needed on a property to have winder stairs added? Thanks.

"As a rough estimate measure the width and then measure the height. Each step must be no more than 220mm tall although you can push up slightly ie 225mm. Each step must be no less than 220mm on this one though you do not really want to go below 220mm because your foot needs to be resting on each step comfortably without slipping off etc.

You will have to just do the maths. There are online calculates that will do the math for you as long as you have the total width and total height of the area you want the stairs to fitted.

If you cannot get the width you might need to move a wall. Usually in hallways that would be using me a box room or bathroom wall.,"
