How much sand do you put on artificial grass?

Can you use too much or too little sand on artificial grass?

"Yes you can to little and to much sand on artificial grass to much and you'll get alot of movement and wont settle properly and not enough sand the artificial grass wont settle properly as it has nothing to settle on"

"You can use too much but it would just mean the brushing in process would take a lot longer, the best sand to use is kiln dry sand but you must not let any type of moisture get into the bag or it won't work."

"depends on the level the artifical grass needs to be at
suggest no more than 500 mm thick
the ground underneath needs to have a layer of scalpings ie : crushed concrete
both materials will be compacted with a stabiliser membrane

"Hi kelly if its your first time doing this follow the guys advice above. To much or to little can cause a headache. A fine layer at first and just do it as you go if you think it needs more add more"

"It depends on my how much artificial grass you have actually normally i just pour the sand onto the grass and use a brush spread it out until it spreads out evenly"
